The main goal of this thesis is to analyse the linguistic picture of popular culture in the written works by the most prominent representative of pop art Andy Warhol. The reconstruction of the linguistic picture of the world of Warhol's written works has as a basis the metaphor POP IS RELIGION. The associations of Warhol's vision of the world with the folk picture of the world, magic and the Byzantine Iconostasis are of special interest for this research.
