The aims of this correlational study were to find out whether or not there was a significant correlation between thinking styles and language learning strategies of the English Education Study Program students of FKIP Sriwijaya University, there were significant correlations among each category of thinking styles to each category of languange learning strategies, and there were any contributions of students’ thinking styles to their language learning strategies. The sample of this study was the English Education Study Program students of FKIP Sriwijaya University in the Academic Year 2013/2014. To collect the data, Thinking Styles Inventory (TSI) and Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) were used. The data were analyzed by using correlational and regression analyses. The result showed that there was a positive correlation between students’ thinking styles and language learning strategies. Significant correlations were also shown by each category of thinking styles and languange learning strategies. However, further calculation by using multiple regression analyses showed that the contribution of thinking styles to students’ language learning strategies was only 38.5%, suggesting that thinking styles did not give much contribution to students’ language learning strategies. It is implied that English teacher should pay attention to students’ different thinking styles and language learning strategies. Besides that, English teacher should care of other factors that can influence students’ learning.

This thesis provides an overview of fundamental issues specific to photovoltaic systems, starting with building of the photovoltaic cell, description of dedicated measurement systems for photoelectric quantum efficiency and the description of technological equipment, process controls and measurement equipment, our own detailed solutions to obtain nanostructured materials support for photovoltaic cell, photovoltaic cell target material and photovoltaic cell device and results. The work was supported by national research projects carried out within teams of CMIM, IOEL and INFLPR and an important role in developing this thesis had the project called "Intelligent design of flexible photovoltaic components with maximized photoelectric conversion efficiency ". This paper materialize three years concerns of the author in the development of new photovoltaic cell test solution, the results of scientific research, conducted at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, as scholarship of POSDRU Programme 7713 - Competitive preparing of doctoral students , are disseminated in articles, as author and co-author, published in journals and proceedings of scientific meetings.

Communication is primary to human existence and while people acquire their mother tongue naturally, the acquisition of a second language presents a significantly greater challenge, one that cannot be successfully completed without applying appropriate approaches, methods, strategies and techniques. After centuries of development in ELT, we now find ourselves in a post-method period and in the plenitude of approaches available to us, it is greatly important to choose those that suit the learner best. This book presents an overview of various methods and approaches, paying special attention to communicative language teaching and communicative competence. However, the main body of the book analyses pair work in ELT from various perspectives, suggesting its pros and cons and relating it to the principles of CLT. The theoretical part of the book sets foundations to the second part, which details a field research carried out in a selected primary school. The book should be particularly useful to students of pedagogy and didactics, as well as teachers of primary and seconary schools, who seek practical advice on how to enhance their professional performance.
