They analyze contemporary British identity through the various and changing ways in which people who live in the UK position themselves and are positioned by their culture today. This third edition is fully updated to include environmental concerns, devolution, the infantilization of culture, binge-drinking and reality TV, 7/7 and terrorism, and the general shift from a literate to a visual culture.
